Scientific name: Mustelus canis Class: Chondricthyes Description of habitat: They like to live in bays, and other inshore waters. The perfer shallow waters of less than 655 feet depth. They move seasonally, moving north in the spring and south in autumn. The mainly feed off of large crustaceas including lobsters, shirmp and crabs as well as small fish and mollusks.
Facts: Its color is gray and it is much used for dissection by students of vertebrate. Females reach maturity at 4-5 years and they give birth to 4-200 pups after a 10-11 month pregnancy. This shark is probably the most common type of shark in the Atlantic. They have the usually ability among sharks to change thier skin color to camouflage with their surroundings
Endangered: They are treathed but not endangered. The reason they are not endangered anymore because we took huge measures to save them.

Human impact: One of the human impacts would be thst fishers fish them to get thier fins for soups and teasures. A lot of people also fish them for pets.
