Scientific name: Echinoidea Class: Echinozoa Description of habitat: They live in variety of environments all around the world. They commonly lodge themselves half way into the surface of sand,mud or holes.This is for protection from waves and/or currents. They also live in areas where you find algae, seagrass, seaweed and other foods they can consume.
Facts: They can range from 3 cm to 10 cm in diameter. Their body has a spiny shell and their skeleton is known as a test. They are really colorful like black, red, brown, purple and light pink. They have 5 teeth on the bottom side, they grow these teeth throughout their life. They have tube feet that are longer then there spines.
Endangered: They are not endangered.

Human Impact: There is a huge loss of them due to the population of fishers fishing and the pollution. There is a big amount of change when a hurricane and temperature in the water.
